INDIANAPOLIS — Earlier this week, Americans for Prosperity-IN applauded state lawmakers for the policies that earned the state eighth place for its business tax climate in the Tax Foundation’s report and urged them to remain committed to promoting economic freedom in the Hoosier state. AFP specifically called attention to prioritizing spending without raising taxes to meet infrastructure funding needs.

“Indiana has been ranked eighth best business tax climate in the nation for three years – lawmakers should ensure that we continue down this road by following Governor Pence’s lead and committing to not raising taxes,” said Indiana state director of Americans for Prosperity Justin Stevens. “Eighth best state business tax climate is seven places too low. There is no reason Indiana shouldn’t have the best business tax climate in the nation if they remain focused on prioritizing spending rather than hiking taxes. This next session lawmakers have their goal: make our state’s tax burden the lowest and most economically competitive in the nation.”
