NORTH WEBSTER — Janette Stackhouse and Paula Markley have been recognized for five years of service at the North Webster Community Public Library. The recognitions were announced by Library Director Helen Leinbach.
Stackhouse joined the library staff in October 2010 after a 25-year career as an electronic document management specialist. Her main areas of responsibilities include the library’s extensive DVD collection and assisting with technical and computer issues along with assisting patrons and teaching an annual herb class. A Muncie native, she attended Ball State University and has lived in the North Webster area for the past 28 years.
Markley joined the library staff as cataloger in November 2010. Her duties as cataloger include entering new materials into the library’s online catalog, deleting obsolete materials, processing donated items, reserving patrons’ hold requests, and preparing books and DVDs for shelving. A North Webster native, Markley taught fourth grade at Syracuse Elementary School for 33 years prior to joining the library staff. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Anderson College and a master’s degree from Indiana University.
“We are pleased to recognize both Janette’s and Paula’s dedication and service along with the professionalism they bring to their positions,” states Leinbach. “We value their contributions to the library staff.”
