Two To Five Inches And Winter Storm Watch
NORTHERN INDIANA — Elkhart County along with St. Joseph, LaGrange, LaPort, Steuben counties in Indiana and Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, Branch and Hillsdale counties in Michigan are under a winter storm watch from Saturday morning through Saturday evening according to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana.
Kosciusko County is not in the watch but 2 to 5 inches of snow is expected..
The counties in the watch are expecting snow, occasionally heavy. Rain may may briefly mix with the snow Saturday morning with the heavier snowfall rates and impacts anticipated during the afternoon and early evening hours. Snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected.
For Kosciusko County, Noble, DeKalb, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton, Whiltey, White, Cass, Miami, Wabash counties, the special weather statement issued, states snow, possibly mixed with rain to start, is expected to overspread the region late Saturday morning into Saturday afternoon. Snow accumulations are forecast to range between 2 and 5 inches.
Driving conditions may become hazardous late Saturday morning through Saturday evening due to snow covered roads and reduced visibility.
