Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:28 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, East Old Road 30, east of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: Shelley J. Koozer, 48, North Sullivan Road, Leesburg. Hit deer. Damage up to $10,000.
10:31 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, East CR 350N, west of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Dakota S. Braden, 17, South CR 250E, Warsaw. Braden’s vehicle hit a patch of ice, causing him to lose control, going off the road and hitting a tree. A passenger in his vehicle, Diego Miguel, 16, Pheasant Ridge Drive, Warsaw, complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot area and was transported to a hospital. Damage up to $5,000.
6:19 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, West SR 14, east of South CR 850W, Mentone. Driver: David W. Dyson, 40, North CR 225E, Macy. Dyson lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and hit an REMC pole breaking it. Dyson was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for possible broken ribs. Damage up to $25,000.
3:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, North SR 13 and East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Dale E. McMullen, 53, Faunn Street, Winona Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
2:44 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, West CR 200S, west of South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Worth A. Packer, 55, East Backwater Road, North Webster. Packer lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road, sliding off the road into a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
2:42 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, North CR 300E and East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Adam T. Doyle, 17, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Doyle lost control of his vehicle on the snow/slush, sliding into a barrier wall. Damage up to $2,500.
12:43 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, East CR 350S, west of South SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Robert K. Hill, 62, South County Farm Road, Warsaw, and Ronald D. Pulley, 79, East CR 100S, Columbia City. Hill’s vehicle struck the Pulley vehicle as it was going around a curve. Damage up to $2,500.
11:54 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, West US 30, east of North CR 500W, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert L. Taylor, 44, Burns Boulevard, Fort Wayne, and Sean C. Borchers, 35, North School Street, Chicago, Ill. Taylor lost control of his westbound vehicle on the slick roadway, went across the median and hitting the eastbound Borchers vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:18 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, North CR 650W, south of West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Driver: Kelli K. Perkins, 43, West CR 100S, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
7:22 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, South CR 900W and West SR 25, Mentone. Driver: Janet L. Elliott, 35, South CR 1000W, Mentone. Injured: Addison G. Elliott, 9, complained of pain to the shoulder/upper arm. Transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:38 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, West Syracuse Street and North Higbee Street, Milford. Driver: Maria E. Martinez, 43, East Smith Street, Milford. Backed into a parked vehicle registered to Sue Wadas, West Clearwater Drive, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, South Huntington Street, south of South Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Brandy A. Light, 24, North Sandpoint Drive, Cromwell. Light complained of pain to the head. Also injured were passengers: Heather M. Shell, 34, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, suffering abrasion to the face and Chloe Reinhart, 8, Cromwell, complaining of pain to the abdomen/pelvis area. Light fell asleep while driving, causing her vehicle to go off the west side of SR 13 and into a ditch, hitting a driveway crossing the ditch and becoming airborne over the driveway. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side. All three injured were transported to a hospital by Turkey Creek EMS. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9;03 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, Lake City Highway, east of East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Kiwanna R. Wimpy, 44, Connors Road, Fort Wayne. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
11:22 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: John M. Rees, 68, EMS C27A Lane, Warsaw, and Amanda L. Mattson, 48, East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Rees was backing from a parking space and failed to see the Mattson vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, North Detroit Street, north of Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Christopher C. Rowe, 29, Red Arrow Highway, Stevensville, Mich., and Andrea C. Rheinheimer, 25, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Rowe was turning northbound from Jimmy John’s parking lot on North Detroit Street and was in the middle of the road, when noticed the Rheinheimer’s vehicle was turning eastbound from the Arby’s parking lot directly across the street. He had no time to stop, hitting the Rheinheimer vehicle in the middle of the road. Damage up to $2,500.
6:51 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, East Bell Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Carolyn K. Bailey, 68, North Paradise Drive, Rochester. Bailey’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle registered to Kyle E. Soriano, Sally Street, Warsaw. Damage up to $5,000.
