John Collins Mannan
John Collins Mannan, 70, of Warsaw, passed away at 9:08 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On Feb. 7, 1945, John was born in Fort Wayne, to Collins and Dorothy (Hildebrand) Mannan. He was united in marriage to Jane Dryer on Nov. 26, 1991, in Bradenton, Fla., who survives.
John lived in Fort Wayne before moving to Warsaw. He graduated from Fort Wayne Northside High School and then he served our country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Taconic. He was honorably discharged in 1964. He then worked for Coverall Rental until his retirement in 1994. John then worked as a car salesman for various car dealerships, and then he worked for CXR Inc., Warsaw. He also was a driver for Explorer Van Inc., Warsaw.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post No. 49, V.F.W. Post No. 1196 and D.A.V He also was a member of the Elks Lodge, Warsaw and the Moose Lodge, Warsaw. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and meeting new people.
John is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jane Mannan, Warsaw; his son, James Michael (and spouse Joi Kissell) Mannan, Charleston, S.C.; two grandchildren, Michael Mannan, Warsaw and Michele Mannan, South Bend. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Charles Mannan, his parents and his sister, Mary Craig.
There is no visitation or services planned. Burial will be at a later date.
