UPDATE: Claypool and Warsaw Fire Departments Are Responding To A Claypool Fire
CLAYPOOL — Claypool Fire Department, with assistance from Wayne Township Fire Department, have cleared the scene of what was initially reported as a roof fire at 201 South Graceland. It was initially heard as South Franklin.
What firefighters found was a downdraft caused smoke from the wood burning stove to enter the home, causing heavy smoke. There was no fire, according to Claypool Fire Chief Bob Haines and all occupants of the home were able to exit the home without injury.
The fire was originally reported at approximately 6:25 a.m.
