Warsaw Rotary Annual Toy Drive Friday
WARSAW — The Warsaw Rotary Club will observe its 88th annual Rotary Toy Day by bringing toys to their meeting this 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at the Shrine Building.
The event was started in 1927 when the club met at the Hotel Hays in downtown Warsaw, which is the present site of Lake City Bank on Center Street.
“Every Christmas season Rotarians have gathered toys to support The Salvation Army’s outreach to those in need,” notes Ken Locke, rotary toy day chairman.
The public is encouraged to support Rotary Toy Day by dropping off gifts at The Salvation Army office at 501 E. Arthur St., Warsaw to support its Angel Tree Program.
