William L. Griggs
WARSAW — William L. Griggs, 73, passed away at 2:47 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Griggs was born July 22, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisc., to Henry and Ivadale Junk, although he spent most of his life in Kosciusko County. Griggs married Marcia Anderson Nov. 27, 1985 in Warsaw.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was honorably discharged Oct. 11, 1960, and worked at Zimmer as a molder for 18 years before retiring. Some of his hobbies included bowling and gardening, and he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a daughter: Tina Faye Stouder.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters: Marissa (Adam) Custer, Warsaw; Annie Layne, Middlesboro, Kent.; two sons: James griggs, Mentone, Billy Griggs, Glasgow, Kent.; son-in-law: Tim Stouder, Paducah, Kent.; step-daughter: Donna Miller, Glasgow, Kent.; a brother: Ben (Pat) Junk, Phoenix, Ariz., and two sisters: Naomi (Ray) Lorenz, Danville, Calif.; and Beth (Clay) Kemmer, Phoenix, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Titus Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Denny Wilson. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
