Crafts are more Fun with Friends
The third annual holiday craft day is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Syracuse Library. Make a centerpiece and ornament along with a variety package decorations. Drop in for the make-it, take-it crafts that are fun for adults, young people or children accompanied by an adult.
Winter time knitting and crocheting meets with time for children from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, and adults from 6-7 p.m. Individuals are encouraged to bring either crochet hooks or knitting needles and yarn to work on a project. Beginners can receive instruction and plans for basic projects.
Book Clubs
Children’s book club is having a festive holiday party. Children from kindergarten to fifth-grade are welcome to join an evening of reading, games, and snacks at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8. Children will have a special Christmas story and plenty of games.
One book, One Hour, an adult book club is meeting to share cookies and reflect on the short Fannie Flagg story, “A Redbird Christmas”. New members and friends are welcome to join the discussion at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9.
