Harvey C. Badman
Harvey C. Badman, 80, Warsaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Sunday was his favorite day of the week.
He was born in Wabash County on May 18, 1935, to Harry and Laverda ‘Mary’ (Weller) Badman, both deceased. He worked for farmers for ten years, Manchester College for five years. He retired from the New York Power Authority in 1997 after 17 years. He returned to Warsaw and worked for YMCA part time for seven years.
On Aug. 29, 1954, he married Evelyn R. Thomas, and she survives, along with son: Ricky Badman, Warsaw; daughter: Cindy (Royce W.) Phillips, Tiffan, Iowa; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Harvey was a member of Community Bible Church in Warsaw. He loved to travel, especially a trip to Baden Baden, German, land of his ancestry, which his daughter and son-in-law planned and went with him and his wife. He attended Community Bible Church faithfully.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, and one hour prior to the service, at Community Bible Church. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Community Bible Church, Warsaw. Pastor Larry Overstreet will officiate, and burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester. Memorials can be made to Community Bible Church, Warsaw.
