WCPL Has Your Christmastime Favorites

It’s Christmastime once again, and once again, the Warsaw Community Public Library is your one–stop shop for Christmas entertainment.
Let’s start with movies for the holiday season. My husband and I will sit any available evening and watch a Christmas movie together. Some of our favorites are: “White Christmas,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Christmas Vacation,” and of course, “The Christmas Story.”
The library has a special display right now, making it easy to just walk in and get your family favorites. If you have not watched them before, some new favorites have become “The Christmas Shoes,” “Christmas with the Kranks,” “Best Man Holiday,” “Four Christmases,” and “The Christmas Choir.”
Of course, if you are putting up the tree with the family, then you will need some background music to put you in the holiday spirit. You cannot go wrong with holiday favorites such as Bing Crosby, Mannheim Steamroller, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole. But maybe you prefer some newer artists, such as Michael Crawford, Point of Grace, Pentatonix, or Christine Aguilar.
Do you like making some of your Christmas gifts for the homemade touch? This year I am crocheting bookmarks, hats, and whatever else I can get finished. We have many books to help you with your Christmas crafting. Come check out “The Soap Maker’s Workshop,” “Creative Photo Collage,” “Creating Your Perfect Christmas,” and my favorite, “Last Minute Christmas Ideas.”
And last but maybe most important, kids love being read to in the evening, and what better way to bond than to read them Christmas stories as they drift off to sleep. We have wonderful titles such as “Click, Clack, Ho! Ho! Ho!,” “A Bad Kittie Christmas,” “Snowflakes Fall,” “Santa’s Sleigh is on its way to Florida,” and “Rudolph.” Create happy memories that they will remember for a lifetime.
The Warsaw Public Library strives to meet your needs throughout the year, and we hope you find everything your heart desires this Christmas.
