Ryland and Santa

CANTON, OHIO — Another mall Santa went above and beyond, this time in Ohio.

Samantha and Josh Wade’s son, Ryland, suffers from seizures and traditional medicines don’t seem to help. So when there was an opportunity for children with special needs to meet Santa at a mall in Ohio, the Wades were on their way.

But just before the big moment, Ryland suffered another seizure, leaving him exhausted. Not even Santa Claus could get him to wake up, so the big guy in the red suit decided he and Ryland would take a nap.

Ryland’s mother said it was great to have a memorable picture, rather than one that would have made Ryland look awkward if Santa had sat there smiling.
