Robert L. King
Robert L. King 94, Rochester, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
He was born on April 6, 1921 in Rochester, the son of Howard and Carrie (Conrad) King. He served with the United States Army during World War II receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
King had been a farmer for many years and had been a member of the Rochester Odd Fellows Lodge and the First Presbyterian Church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, mushroom hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his nephew, William (Serita) King, Bourbon; nieces: Janet King, Rochester; and Carol (Danny) Oliver, Hamilton, Ala.; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William King and Donald King.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Bill Kleyman officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans’ Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be to the Odd Fellows Lodge.
