NorthWood and Mishawaka Marian are the lone area boys basketball teams ranked in the top 10 in this week’s Associated Press prep poll.

The Panthers, who are 7-1, check in at No. 5 in the Class 3-A poll. Marian, off to a 4-0 start, is at No. 3 in the 3-A poll.

A glaring omission from the Class 4-A poll continues to be undefeated Warsaw. The Tigers, who are 7-0 after a dominating win over Wawasee Friday night, are not even listed in the teams receiving votes among Class 4-A squads. Coach Doug Ogle’s team is ranked No. 13 statewide though in this week’s IBCA Coaches’ Poll.

Triton is among the teams receiving votes in the Class 1-A poll.
