Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:02 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, North CR 850E, north of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Ray W. Hathaway, 57, East CR 150S, Pierceton. Hathaway’s vehicle struck a tree limb that was in the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
12:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, North CR 100E and East CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Zachary D. Neher, 20, East North Winds Drive, Warsaw. Neher attempted to pass a slower vehicle when he lost control of his vehicle, going off the road and hitting a NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $10,000.
11:06 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, North East Wawasee Drive and East Crow Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Chris L. Ganshorn, 41, East Constitution Drive, Syracuse. Ganshorn’s vehicle slid on the ice covered road and hit a NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $10,000.
7:07 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, East Old Road 30, east of North SR 13 Warsaw. Driver: Daniel W. Yingst, 21, East Arabian Drive, Columbia City. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
11:41 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, South CR 700W and West CR 500S, Burket. Drivers: Zachery T. Nordman, 21, South CR 700W, Burket, and Jerry L. Straka, 49, West Wildwood Drive, Syracuse. Hordman was attempting to make a right turn onto CR 500S and Straka was stopped waiting for traffic to clear to turn left, to go southbound on CR 700W. Nordman was traveling too fast to safely make the turn onto CR 500S and hit the rear driver’s side of Straka’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
