WABASH – The duo of Jared Mikel and Josh Back led the way for the Tippecanoe Valley wrestling team in the Wabash Invitational on Saturday.

Mikel went 4-1 at 145 pounds and Back was 4-1 in the 182-pound division to lead the Vikings.

Valley went 1-4 on the day as a team. The Vikings defeated Fort Wayne Luers 33-30, while losing matches to Wabash (53-18), Southern Wells (57-18), North Miami (48-33) and Heritage (42-18).

Tyler Manuzsak and Jameson Baker each posted 3-2 individual marks for Valley. Manuzsak at 170 and Baker at 220.

Isaac Randall was 2-2 at 152 and Chevy Teeter was 2-3 at 138 for Valley. Dylan Warner was 2-3 ay 160 and Cody Craig was 1-1 at 285.
