Royce Allen Cox
Royce Allen Cox, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 12, 1930, in Warsaw, to Charles S. and Helen M. (Zimmer) Cox.
He was a lifetime Warsaw area resident, attended Warsaw High School, and was a United States Army veteran. He was married on Jan. 6, 1951, in Warsaw to Martha J. “Marty” Hodges who preceded him on September 29, 2013. He was formerly employed for the City of Warsaw, Bertsch Vending Services, Main Automotive, Hodges AM Ready Mix Concrete all in Warsaw, and was the former owner / operator of Fun Center Yamaha in Warsaw.
He formerly attended the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw and enjoyed attending motocross races.
He is survived by his son: Kim A. (Cindi) Cox, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Corie (Ken) Strong; and KC (Leslie) Cox; three great-grandsons: Sean; Shane; and Sam. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Cindy Gackenheimer of the Celebration Church in Warsaw officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
