Grace Village Grant Buys A Biodex Balance System
WINONA LAKE — Thanks to a generous grant from the K21 Health Foundation, Grace Village has installed a Biodex Balance System in the Grace Village Rehabilitation Center.
The Biodex Balance System improves balance, increases agility, and develops muscle tone, all while providing vital bio-feedback that allows for real time adjustments to therapy programs. It provides fall risk screening and helps minimize the potential for readmission to hospitals.
The machine is used for both inpatient and outpatient services, providing important information for residents of Kosciusko County about the state of their health and well-being, as well as improving the quality of therapy services provided by Grace Village Rehabilitation. Patients in Grace Village rehabilitation and therapy are referred by their physicians.
A grant from the foundation of $13,340 allowed Grace Village to purchase the Biodex System.
