Phone Scams Reported In Milford Area
MILFORD — Milford Police Department is currently warning residents of active phone scams reported throughout the community.
According to a release issued by MPD scammers are currently making phone calls attempting to solicit information for an action of account that an individual has and has not personally requested. Callers are advised to terminate the call and call their bank/service provider in person.
With tax season in swing, IRS scammers are attempting to deceive people with claims they owe back taxes and threats of jail time should these fines not be paid. Kosciusko residents are reminded the IRS never makes calls to taxpayers to solicit any fees. Should you receive a call, hang up.
