Bill E. Brown
Bill E. Brown 82, Rochester, passed away at 11:04 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at his residence.
He was born on May 29, 1933 in Pulaski County, the son of Louis E. and Olive (Harris) Brown. On Sept. 9, 1956, in Peru, he married Patsy L. Gayhart and she survives. He served with the Unites State Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Brown had been a tool and die maker retiring from General Motors in Kokomo after twenty seven years of service. He was enjoyed hunting, fishing, croquet, swimming, playing euchre, and he loved playing games with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include wife: Patsy Brown, Rochester; children: Kathy Smith, Monticello, Iowa; Bill (Brenda) Brown, Sharpsville; Sharon (Joe) Rock, Rochester; six grandchildren: Christina (Ian) Davis, Monticello, Iowa; Richard (Kathy) Lucker, Rochester; Michael (Jenny) Brown, Kokomo; Amanda (Josh) Philapy, Sharpsville; Casie (fiancé Neil Baumann) Atkins, Rochester; Joey Rock, Rochester; several great-grandchildren; brother: Jerry Brown, Kokomo. He was preceded in death by his father: Louis E. Brown; mother: Olive Jones; nine brothers and sisters; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans’ Honor Guard.
