ALBION — The Whitko girls basketball team throttled Bremen 65-34 to advance to the sectional semi-finals In doing so, the Lady Cats set the single-season record for most wins with 18, surpassing the 17 won by the 2007-2008 squad.

Bremen was led offensively by Micaela Box’s 11 points. Whitko was led by Aly Reiff’s 17. Hanna Yohe added 15 for the ‘Cats, Brianna Cumberland scored 12 while Jen Reiff tallied 10.

Whitko will play Central Noble Friday evening at 6 p.m. for the chance to advance to the sectional title.
