Waiting For Adoption
The Animal Welfare League has five darling cats that have been here for up to five months waiting for you to adopt them. So many people mistakenly believe AWL put healthy good animals like this down. AWL does not do this. You can help. Here is information about five cats and three dogs that have been waiting for you to show up.
This is your week to come and meet them. Here they area:
Buttercup is a lovable female black, short-haired cat. She is gentle and loves cuddling but she takes a little time to warm up. AWL staff have loved her since she was 5 weeks old.
Peanut is a female, brown tabby. She is 8 months old and has been at AWL since Sept. 5, 2015. She Is loving cuddly curious and playful.
Derby is a female, brown mackeral tabby. She’s 2 1/2 half years old and has been with the AWL since September. You will love to cuddle with this adoring cat.
Cleo is a gorgeous female tortoiseshell cat. She’s an Abyssinian cat and still very young at 1-year and nine months old.
Tigger is a luscious gray and white female about 4 years old. She is very regal, calm and collected. She is laid back and likes to lounge around. AWL has enjoyed her since October.
The dogs that have been at the AWL the longest are:
Riley is one of the most popular breeds of dog. He’s around 5 years of age and AWL has had him since October. Like all Labs he has webbed feet and loves to play, especially in water. His temperament is Mr. Sanguine. He has the “smart bump” on his head for which labs are also known and he is very friendly.
Zeek is a shepherd and collie mix with a great mixture of fur in brown and tan and white. He is still very young at just a year old. We are working to train Zeek but he needs a family with older children who can help him get plenty of exercise followed by some good training and treats.
Lastly we have 6-year-old Scooter, a tan and gray Aussie mix. He loves to cuddle with you and will obey to “sit” and “shake.” Scooter needs to be your only boy dog.
Because the AWL has had these pets for a little while, it is offering a $10 discount on the adoption fee. Come out and see them. You will be very glad you did.
To inquire about adopting contact the AWL via the website or by phone at (574) 267-3008.
