Walk-N-Wander Returning With All New Sculptures
WARSAW — After reporting a huge success in 2014, the city of Warsaw will once again feature lifelike and life-sized sculptures by American sculptor Seward Johnson this summer.
If you made it to the downtown area during the initial showing of the sculptures, the exhibit will offer new sculptures to view. The exhibit will open for viewing 24 hours a day, seven days a week beginning on June 3. The exhibit will leave Warsaw on Sept. 29.
Guests and residents alike are invited to grab a Walk-n-Wander map and experience a unique walking tour. Touch, photograph and interact with a collection of life-size bronze sculptures by world-renowned sculptor Seward Johnson in a free “outdoor urban gallery.”
The exhibit features many life-size bronze painted figures engaged in everyday activities which reflect the artist’s sense of humor and affection for people.
More than 250 of his figures have been featured in private collections and museums as well as periodic public placements around the world.
Brochures and maps will once again be made available at area businesses or by download at www.warsaw.in.gov.
The exhibit is brought to you by donors to the ArtFULLY Warsaw Fund and the Warsaw Public Arts Commission.
