Season Ends For Valley Swim And Dive
WARSAW — It was the end of another season for the Tippecanoe Valley swim team Saturday afternoon at the Warsaw Sectional. Without a full team it was hard for the Vikings to press in team standings but several swimmers, and one diver, participated in the finals during Saturday’s meet.
Caitlyn Bailey had one of the few highlights for the Vikings on the day. The senior diver concluded her career with a score of 281.05, placing her sixth overall in the field that was 15 deep.
Katie Gunter also claimed a sixth place finish. The senior swam a 1:10.95 in the 100 fly to give the Vikings their highest finish in an event of the day. Gunter took 13th in the 50 free earlier in the day with a time of 29.62.
Lea Stouder made the cut for finals on Thursday and would finish eighth in the 100 breast. The sophomore swam a 1:24.13. In the 50 free Stouder placed 16th with a time of 30.42.
