Nappanee Announces New Police Chief
NAPPANEE — Nappanee Mayor Phil Jenkins announced today the appointment of the new Nappanee Police Chief.
Officer Steve Rulli, a 13-year veteran of the Nappanee Police Department, will now serve as police chief for the town. Rulli works currently as a school resource officer at Wa-Nee schools, as the head training instructor for NPD and Vice President of the Northeast Indiana Law Enforcement Training Council.
“With a passion for law enforcement, a concern for the community and an ability to lead by example, Steve provides the skills necessary to improve Nappanee’s public safety,” notes the Nappanee official Facebook page. “As an experienced training instructor, Officer Rulli has built relationships both within the department and among other area law enforcement agencies that will enhance our ability to serve and protect our residents. We look forward to Steve’s leadership as we actively engage with citizens and proactively address crime in the community.”
