TinCaps To Host Anthem Tryouts
FORT WAYNE – Think you can do better than Lady Gaga? Now that the football season is over, baseball is that much closer. As the TinCaps prepare for Opening Night at Parkview Field on Saturday, April 9 (6:05 p.m.), they’re calling on their fans for help. Or at least their musically inclined ones.
The TinCaps will be holding auditions for talented artists to perform the national anthem before the team’s 70 home games in 2016. Singers, instrumentalists and even groups are invited to try out.
Auditions will be held at Parkview Field on Tuesday, March 1, Thursday, March 3, and Saturday, March 5. To schedule a try-out time, contact Ben Snider at (260) 407-2828 or [email protected]
Interested performers must reserve their audition time in advance, as the team won’t accept walk-up auditions.
Please note: Those who try out are not guaranteed the opportunity to perform before a game.
For those who are selected, national anthem performers at Parkview Field receive four (4) tickets to the game at which they perform.
Single Game Tickets for the 2016 season go on sale Wednesday, February 17 at Parkview Field, TinCapsTickets.com, and by phone at (260) 482-6400. Season Tickets and tickets for Group Outings are already on sale.
The team recently released its 2016 Promotional Schedule, which features 32 fireworks nights, 20-plus theme nights, and more than 10 performances by national entertainers. The 2016 season will mark the eighth year of TinCaps baseball in Downtown Fort Wayne at Parkview Field, Minor League Baseball’s top-rated ballpark.
