WARSAW — The parents of Lisa Anne Boggs, Robert and Marita Boggs, recently established the Lisa Anne Boggs Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation to honor the life of their daughter.
This year, the fund will award two $1,000 scholarships to one male and one female senior at Tippecanoe Valley High School who have financial need, have attained a C average or better, and have participated in extracurricular or community service activities or have held a part-time job. The scholarship can be used toward a two-year or four-year degree or a vocational training program. In future years, $3,000 each will be awarded to two graduating seniors.
Lisa Boggs was a 1975 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Grace College and a master’s degree from Manchester University. Boggs taught physical education for many years in the Manchester and Tippecanoe Valley school systems. She coached gymnastics and track for Tippecanoe Valley Schools.
The scholarship fund in Boggs’ memory is an endowment. The fund’s principal will be invested and income from the fund will be used for scholarships every year in Boggs’ memory, forever.
