Beth Smith Receives 10 Years Service Recognition

NORTH WEBSTER — Adult Services Director Beth Smith was recently recognized for 10 years of service at the North Webster Community Public Library. The recognition was announced by Library Director Helen Leinbach.
Smith joined the library staff in January 2006 and was instrumental in establishing the library’s Local History and Genealogy Center of which she also serves as director.
In addition to directing the Local History and Genealogy Center, Smith’s responsibilities include ordering all adult fiction, overseeing and developing adult programming and services and serving as library liaison to the Friends of the Library organization. She also organizes the library’s annual Cemetery Walk and is a frequent featured speaker at the Indiana Library Federation’s annual conference.
Smith’s previous work experience includes 16 years as branch manager for a financial company. She has also been doing genealogy research since 1994. A Goshen native, she and her husband live in the Oswego area.
“We are fortunate to have a person of Beth’s caliber heading up our Adult Services Department and Local History and Genealogy Center,” states Leinbach. “Her expertise and dedication is an asset to our library and the community we serve.”
The North Webster Community Public Library is located in the North Webster Community Center at 301 N. Main St., in North Webster. The Library is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
