Jackie Isn’t Pro-Life
Dear Editor:
There is some question about Jackie Walorski’s pro-life voting record. I first met Jackie at a Right To Life banquet in 2013. She made a good impression and told us she was committed to protecting the unborn.
In 2013, she voted for a bill protecting the preborn (H.R. 2013). In 2015, she co-sponsored a bill with very similar language, the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Her bill would have protected unborn children after the 20th week when it is medically confirmed they feel pain. When she withdrew her name from the bill, it killed the purpose of the bill.
Following the release of last year’s Planned Parenthood videos, Walorski said, “I am thoroughly disgusted … As a former state legislator, I’ve continually voted to protect the sanctity of life by defunding Planned Parenthood.”
Five months later, she fully funded Planned Parenthood through the 2016 Omnibus bill. When I connect the dots, I don’t see her as a defender of the preborn.
We need to give her a Pink Slip.
