WARSAW — Warsaw Mom2Mom will hold its fourth semi-annual sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Baker Youth Club. Both gymnasiums will be full of tables and racks of gently used maternity clothing, infant through juniors clothing, books, toys, baby gear, etc. This community-wide sale is open to the public however pre-registration is required for sellers.
Mom2Mom, or M2M, is a group of moms who volunteer their time and service to promote, advertise and organize two semi-annual sales per year. The original goal of Warsaw M2M was to create a one-stop shopping center for families and mothers-to-be while giving local families the opportunity to sell their gently used items without paying consignment fees.
M2M mothers feel blessed to be a part of this community and want to continue to invest directly into the families and children located here. With that in mind, renting the BYC facility is a perfect fit for the sale since it provides ample space as well as helps support BYC. It’s a win-win situation.
What makes this sale different from consignment sales is the structure: everyone who contributes items is present at the sale, has a designated area to display items, and handles his own sales. Sellers are asked to pay $15 to help cover building rental and advertising costs of the sale.
Warsaw M2M started three years ago with just two moms and a few sellers in a small building at the fairgrounds. It has now grown to include an entire team of volunteers from Warsaw and surrounding towns and requires 10,000 square feet to house everything.
