Trojans Hold Off Lions
BREMEN – In a battle of old Northern State Conference foes, Triton held on for a 56-47 win at Bremen Tuesday night in boys buckets.
Triton used a 14-2 run as part of a key third quarter that allowed the Trojans to take a 38-24 lead after the score sat at 21-15 at the half.
Bremen would chip away and make it close down the stretch, but the Trojans made their chances at the free throw line pay, hitting 17-25 for the game. Bremen was just 4-7 from the stripe.
Masen Yeo was 7-10 from the line and led the Trojans with 16 points overall. Yeo also had seven rebounds, four assists and two steals to boot. Jordan Anderson scored 12 points and Grant Johnson pitched in another 10 points, four boards and three blocks.
Zac Pitney added in seven points and six boards for the Trojans, which improve to 15-7 on the season.
Bremen (4-17) had Bryce Cassel lead the team with 12 points while Ryan Topper had six points, 10 boards three steals and two blocks.
Bremen captured the JV game by a 56-39 count. Cole George and Nathan Mullen each scored 13 points for the Lions while Caden Marr had 11 points for the Trojans.
Triton finishes up the regular season Friday at home against Knox while Bremen will wrap up Friday with a trip to Culver.
