WARSAW — Coming to Warsaw, from June 3 to Sept. 29, is the “All New” Walk-n-Wander 2016.
This four-month event is an opportunity to stroll among life size bronze sculptures created by renowned artist, Seward Johnson. The Warsaw Public Arts Commission is charged with hosting this unique art event for the Warsaw community.
This year is also Indiana’s 200th birthday. The Warsaw Public Arts Commission will participate in Indiana’s Bison-tennial Public Art Project by sponsoring a Bison that will be displayed during the 2016 Walk-n-Wander exhibit, be part of the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay, then be installed permanently on the Lake City Green Way.
An artist willing to donate his/her services for this project is needed. The bison must be completed and ready for display by May 30.
Artists will be recognized in Walk-n-Wander publications, at VIP night, with a plaque for Walk-n-Wander event, and on state Bison-tennial web site.
Artistic submissions should be completed by March 12.
