Etheree Linda Jones

Etheree Linda Jones, 85, of Rochester formerly of Kewanna, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Life Care Center in Rochester.

Born August 26, 1930 in Langley, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Eunice (Graves) Bashaw. On May 9, 1950 in Warren, Indiana, she married Dean E. Jones. He preceded her in death April 22, 2014.

Linda was a 1949 Langley High School graduate. She was a former realtor and tax preparer.  Linda and her husband Dean formerly owned and operated the Kewanna and Culver Laundry Mats. Linda enjoyed sewing, fishing, gardening and camping.

Survivors include her two sons, Ronald D. Jones (Bobbie), Kewanna and Steven L. Jones (Nancy), Virginia Beach; sister, Wanda Aldred, Shoals; sisters-in-law, Naomi Martin and Velma Souers both of Bluffton; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, Elois Drain.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Pastor Aaron McCombs officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1,  at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kewanna Citizens IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna.
