WCHS Band Solo And Ensemble Results
WARSAW — Thirty-five members of the Warsaw Community High School Band performed at the Indiana State School Music Association State Solo and Ensemble competition.
Eleven solos and four ensembles qualified for State contest, which was held at North Central High School in Indianapolis Saturday, Feb. 27.
All four ensembles — the Flute Quartet, Saxophone Choir, and two Percussion Ensembles — received Gold ratings for their performances at State.
Ten solos — Samuel Bolduc (trombone), Katharine Engler (flute), Jannalynn Niebbia (flute), Kole Smith (trumpet), Jacob Snider (tuba), Paige Spratt (French horn), Martha Robison (flute and piccolo), and Lyndsey Wolfe (flute and alto flute) — all earned Gold ratings for their performances.
Sara Perkins (alto saxophone) earned a Silver rating for her solo.
All 35 band members who qualified earned a Gold medal in at least one event.
The WCHS Band program is under the direction of Mickey Ratliff and Emily Mikel.
