Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:46 p.m. Friday, March 4, North SR 13 and North Ideal Beach Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Jordan T. Elliott, 20, EMS D23 Lane, Syracuse, and Jillinda Corson, 45, East Promontory Point Drive, Syracuse. Elliott’s vehicle struck the back of the Corson vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
6:52 a.m. Friday, March 4, East Armstrong Road and EMS T25 Lane, Leesburg. Driver: Jorge M. Carrillo, 21, East US 30, Pierceton. Carrillo’s vehicle slid of the road, rolling over and landing on its roof. Damage up to $5,000.
4:21 a.m. Friday, March 4, North CR 800W, north of CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Alexander Q. Alcala, 20 Southfield Drive, Ligonier. Alcala’s vehicle slid off the road into a large ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
7:05 .m. Thursday, March 3, North SR 13, south of East Backwater Road, North Webster. Driver: Joshua D. Fitzgerald, 18, North Tepee Drive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:05 p.m. Friday, March 4, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. A vehicle was parked in a valid parking space at Wal-Mart, when it was struck in the rear driver side bumper area, by a vehicle which left the scene. Witnesses told police they observed a blue Dodge Charger coming down the isle in the wrong direction, attempted to pull into a parking space twice, hitting the Thompson vehicle both times before driving through the parking space and going several rows over to jump start another vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:04 p.m. Friday, March 4, West Winona Avenue and South Lake Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Creassia A. Blackburn, 38, South CR 775W, Mentone, and Juan J. Casas, 33, Mile 22 1/2 Road, Edinburg, Texas. Blackburn’s vehicle struck the back of the Casas vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
