Beverly Bonnie (Burch) Stieglitz
Beverly Bonnie (Burch) Stieglitz of Winona Lake, passed away at Grace Village Health Care and entered the Lord’s presence at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the age of 87.
Beverly was born on Oct. 14, 1928, in Fletcher, Okla. She was the daughter of Willie D. and Lovie A. (Gilley) Burch. She was married to William L. Stieglitz on Aug. 13, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Okla. shortly after graduation in 1955 at Nyack Bible College in Nyack, N.Y. William survives in Winona Lake.
She and her husband became pioneer missionaries to the Dani tribe in Papua New Guinea while serving under the Christian and Missionary Alliance with work that involved evangelism and literacy. She also ministered as a pastor’s wife in Indiana, Michigan and Texas. Later, Beverly worked for the Free Methodist Headquarters, as well as Goshen College and Nappanee Public Library. Beverly was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church in Nappanee. She had been a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 25 years.
Beverly will be lovingly remembered by all her family, including daughters: Rebecca (Mark) Dingeldein, Milford; Dinah (Ernest) Bergan, Wadsworth, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Jonathan (Julie Stutsman) Dingeldein, Burlington, Iowa; Stephen (Wendy Weimer) Dingeldein, Durham, N.C.; Daniel (Megan Okerson) Dingeldein, San Diego, Calif.; Joshua (Jacqueline Close) Dingeldein, Denver, Colo.; Caleb Dingeldein, Milford; Anna; Nathaniel; and Timothy Bergan, all of Wadsworth, Ohio; and Hallie (David) Eckenrode, Dallas, Texas; seven great-grandchildren: Micah; Noah; and Kate, the children of Jon and Julie; and Evelyn; Cryus; Gage; and Elsee, the children of Stephen and Wendy. She leaves behind one sister: Gail (Bruce) Salmon, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Alena (Forest) Dunbar, Fla.; as well as brothers: Billy and Patrick Burch, Okla.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of Beverly’s life will follow at 2 p.m. officiated by Chaplain Bryan Benjamin and family members. A graveside service will be held at Milford Cemetery in Milford.
