Riley Signs On With St. Francis
WARSAW – Warsaw football and track and field standout Brock Riley has signed his intent to play football at the University of Saint Francis this coming fall.
A two-way starter for the Tigers on the gridiron, Riley was one of Warsaw’s top threats and play-makers on both sides of the ball. The scrappy and athletic defensive back also played wide receiver, slot, long-snapped, and he returned kicks and punts for the Tigers. Riley set the single-season record for most fumble recoveries in a season this past year with six.
Riley earned All-Northern Lakes Conference First Team selection in football this season. He was also named All-Conference in track last spring in high jump as a junior, and he was a member of the Warsaw 4×100 state-qualifying relay squad.
Not only did the athletic Riley garner attention for his standout play on the field and track, he also played a large role in the community as well, taking part in a number of opportunities to give back to those around him. Riley was a part of the Feed My Starving Children fundraising efforts, the Blitz Community Service, the Tiger NFL Flag Football program, and the Race for Trace / My Team Triumph.
This coming fall Riley will become a member of Indiana’s most successful collegiate football program with the Cougars and coach Kevin Donley. Saint Francis has racked up more double-digit wins in a season than any other college program in Indiana since the 2000 season. The Cougars have won 10 or more games in 10 of those seasons, including last year’s 11-1 campaign that included an appearance in the NAIA National Championship Football Series semifinals.
Riley, who has accumulated a B average through his four years at WCHS, will study Business at Saint Francis.
