Tigers To Hold Open Practice Wednesday
WARSAW – Fans of the regional-bound Warsaw boys basketball team can get a look at their favorite team at work on Wednesday.
The Tigers will hold an Open Practice as they prepare to take part in the Class 4-A Michigan City Regional on Saturday.
The practice will take place from 3:35-5 p.m. in the Tiger Den and all fans are encouraged to attend. Fans come come and go at the session as they wish.
“We greatly appreciate the support of the community and would like them to share in the excitement of the regional preparations,” said Warsaw coach Doug Ogle. “We think that having an open practice is a good way to do this for Tiger Nation.”
Warsaw, ranked No. 5, will face South Bend Riley (22-5) on Saturday at 11 a.m. EST in the opening game of the Michigan City Regional. Crown Point (18-8) will face East Chicago Central (18-5) in the second semifinal contest. The championship is set for 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Warsaw (23-1) won the Elkhart Sectional championship Saturday night with a 38-35 win over host Elkhart Central in the title game.
