Michigan Road Bridge Set For Demolition Friday
PLYMOUTH — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of the Michigan Road Bridge leading into Plymouth, just south of US 6, off of old US 31, starting 8 a.m. March 18, and continuing through the beginning of July.
Crews will demolish and remove the Michigan Road bridge and replace with an “at grade” road. Access to Plymouth by way of the Michigan Road bridge will be completely closed for the duration of this project.
State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. Drivers wishing to travel south on Michigan Road will be detoured east on US 6, south on US 31, and west on US 30. Drivers wishing to travel north on Michigan Road will be detoured east on US 30, north on US 31, and west on US 6.
