Munn Arrested On Cocaine And Marijuana Charges
SYRACUSE — A mother concerned about the drug addiction of her son, turned to police after finding drugs in her home.
Martin Charles Munn, 19, 9726 N. 300E, Syracuse, was arrested by police Friday and charged with possession of cocaine, a level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
On March 9, Munn’s mother came to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and turned over a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy material, and two bags containing a white powdery substance. The leafy substance was identified as marijuana and the white powdery substance tested positive for cocaine. The marijuana weighed less than one gram and the cocaine, weighed approximately one gram.
Police were told Munn was sleeping on the sofa at her residence when she observed his wallet on the floor. When she picked up the wallet she observed a clear plastic bag containing numerous other plastic bags. She told police he had dropped out of college and been in treatment centers for heroin addiction.
He was held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
