Donnabelle Mae Rule
Donnabelle Mae Rule, 95, Warsaw, died at 4 a.m. Friday, March 18, in Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake.
Donnabelle was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Milford, to Wallace E. and Martha Mae (Maggert) Rule, and was a 1940 graduate of Bourbon High School. She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County. Donnabelle was employed by Free Methodist Publishing House from June 1944 until her retirement on Feb. 28, 1985. She worked in shipping, subscriptions, the Sunday School department, and mailings. For the last seven years she worked in the CYC department and was a mail clerk for Sunday School supplies.
Donnabelle was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw for over 70 years. In years past she was a member of the Esther Circle, taught Sunday School, worked in the church library, sang in the choir and cared for the missionary board with pictures and letters from missionaries. She also provided a home away from home for two single ladies when they were in the area on furlough. Donnabelle was blessed with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved very much.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Seward Ira Rule, 1938; Floyd W. Rule, 1991; and Russell E. Rule, on July 30, 2000; and one sister: Elsie E. Biller, in 1987.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, before the 2 p.m. service, officiated by Elder Henry Hart and assisted by Pastor Steve Rahn, both of First Baptist Church of Warsaw. Burial will be at Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood. Memorials may be made to Lakeland Child Evangelism Ministries, Winona Lake.
