WARSAW — Jefferson Elementary students participated in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart, on Friday, March 18, raising money for that cause, along with Riley Children’s Hospital. The entire student body jumped rope as a fun way to learn heart-healthy living, and they collected monetary donations as a way to support two important causes.
“We all had a lot of fun, and the kids enjoyed learning about the importance of physical activity and how they can play a role in saving lives,” said Sandy Monce, Jefferson PE teacher and Jump Rope for Heart coordinator.
Jefferson students raised $2,540 for the American Heart Association and $500 for Riley Children’s Hospital.
