WCHS Percussion Qualifies For State Finals
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School Winter Percussion Ensemble has advanced to state finals for the 20th consecutive year. WCHS placed sixth in the Scholastic Concert Open Class at the Indiana Percussion Association Semi-State competition held at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis Saturday, March 19.
Warsaw earned a score of 84.4, their highest of the season so far. The ensemble finished only .6 of a point behind fifth place and 1.1 from fourth.
WCHS will perform their 2016 program, “Passion, Grace, and Fire” at the IPA State Finals on Saturday, April 2. State finals will be held at the Hulman Center on the Indiana State University campus in Terre Haute.
The ensemble is under the direction of WCHS Band Director Mickey Ratliff.
