Book Bundles Available in Children’s Department
No time to browse the book shelves in search of some great books? Need several books on the same subject? Try checking out a Book Bundle. A Book Bundle is a black mesh bag with four or five books in it on the same subject. This makes it quick and easy to pick up books in a hurry. We have several bundles available: Spring, Mo Willems books, dinosaurs, princesses and dogs. Book Bundles check out for three weeks just like regular books and include picture books, easy readers, and easy nonfiction. Look for the Book Bundles display in the children’s room when you visit the library.
High Voltage Electricity Show
It’s almost time for our annual community program for all of Wawasee Community School Corporation. The past two years, we have had a fabulous laser show to promote local summer reading programs and to encourage all students to read for fun. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. so plan to come early for a great seat. Get ready to be dazzled with awesome demonstrations of electrical power. In this program, Professor Steve will explain the basics of electricity and amaze you with demonstrations of electrical devices like the tesla coil.
The program is fun for the whole family. Admission is free, with limited seating. This program is sponsored by the Milford Public Library, Syracuse Pubic Library, North Webster Community Library, Wawasee High School Library, Wawasee Middle School Library, Wawasee Middle School PTO, Syracuse Elementary PTO, North Webster Elementary PTO, and Milford School PTO.
