Just before 5 p.m., Warsaw Police were called to Shamrock Mobile Home Park on the north side of Warsaw, for a welfare check on an individual. Arriving officers found a Pontiac that had been rammed. That investigation found several subjects had intimidated another subject with a firearm after marijuana was stolen a few days prior. In an attempt to get away, the vehicle was rammed and was left at the entrance to the park where police found it, along with two subjects, Tucker and a juvenile, walking away from it.
In the vehicle police found methamphetamine and marijuana, and while searching a 16-year-old juvenile, a 9mm handgun was found in his pocket. Officers determined and verified that the handgun was stolen out of Evanston, Wyo. A large amount of cash was also found. Both Tucker and the juvenile were taken into custody.
An individual, whom police went to check on, arrived at the scene. He told police he was inside his vehicle when Tucker arrived and blocked his vehicle. The juvenile and Deeter jumped out of the vehicle, with the juvenile attempting to break a window, with what was believed a metal pipe. He was able to drive off and contact his girl friend to notify police. He drove around the mobile home park however, when he attempted to exit, Tucker would use his vehicle to block him from leaving. He then ran into the back of Tucker’s vehicle to escape.
Searching this vehicle police found smoking devices, grinder, rolled up dollar bill with a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine and a container with marijuana. Police learned this individual had been contacted by Deeter arranging for Tucker to purchase 2 ounces of marijuana, however Deeter only had one quarter ounce. Tucker came to make the purchase and stole the one-quarter ounce. The individual made contact to arrange to get the money owed, but instead received a text message to back off, they were not paying for the drug.
Tucker admitted stealing the marijuana and attempting to intimidate the other individual. He also stated he obtained a handgun from another individual, knowing it was possibly stolen. He admitted driving to another location with Deeter and stealing five ounces of marijuana from one person and drove to another location on two separate occasions to purchase marijuana and cocaine. The last trip he purchased two ounces of cocaine and marijuana. Tucker made arrangements to have 500 Xanax pills shipped to Winona Lake Post Office, under a fake name. Deeter picked up the pills earlier that day.
It was learned the other parties involved were at Lot 42 Shamrock Mobile Home Park. Police went to Lot 42 and smelled the strong odor of marijuana. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and officer’s located several bags of cocaine, multiple bags of marijuana, and bottles of Xanax. The preliminary investigation found Tucker, Backus and Deeter were involved in the dealing of cocaine, marijuana and Xanax.
