Performers Announced For Classic Rock and Country Concerts
WARSAW — Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department has announced Dokken and Jack Russell’s Great White Friday along with Tracy Lawrence will be appearing in Warsaw in two concerts at Glover Pavilion in Central Park. Both concerts are free.
Dokken and Jack Russell’s Great White Friday will be the double headliners for Classic Rock ‘Rockin’ For Riley Concert Friday, June 17. Jack Russell’s Great White will start the evening concert at 6:30 p.m. Then get ready to rock with Dokken at 8 p.m.
The Country Concert for St. Jude will feature Tracy Lawrence on Friday, July 22. The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with singer-songwriter Ruthie Collins. Then get those cowboy boots ready when Lawrence takes the stage at 8 p.m.
Classic Rock Concert
Dokken in an American metal band formed in 1979. The group split up in 1989 but reformed four years later. They have accumulated numerous charting singles and have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The band was nominated for a Grammy in 1989.
Among their songs are “Alone Again,” “Dream Warriors,” Mr. Scary,” “So Many Tears,” “Stop Fighting Love,” “Night by Night,” and “Don’t Lie to Me.” Their albums have included “Under Lock and Key” “Breaking the Chains,” “Back for the Attack” “Tooth and Nail” and “Beast from the East.”
In December 2011, Jack Russell’s Great White first bared its teeth. Since its inception, the front man welcomed back longtime bassist and friend Tony Montana-this time as a guitar player and keyboardist-lead guitarist Robby Lochner, bassist Chris Tristam and drummer Dicki Fliszar. Rather than look backwards and merely attempt to relive the multi-platinum hard rock entity’s storied origins, Jack Russell set his sights on the future.
The release of “Hart Habit” was in the style of the bluesy hard rock stomp that made Russell a rock icon in the first place. The song is taken from the band’s studio album The Gauntlet.
Country Concert
The Multi-platinum CMA and ACM award winning recording artist, Tracy Lawrence has help shaped the sound of Country music for two decades, recently celebrating twenty years in music. His music has inspired a whole new generation of entertainers and fans. Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan frequently pay tribute to the singer live in concert by playing his double-platinum hits like “Time Marches On” and “Alibis.” Songs that help make Lawrence among one of the most played artists on radio.
He leads all artist with 19 career opening Top 10 Billboard singles, 18 No. 1 Singles, sold 13 million albums, CMT’s Most Played Video, winner of the Artist of the Year, ACM, CMA Award winning, Grammy nominated Artist and in 2014 was Music Row Breakout Awards Independent Artist of the year.
Ruthie Collins is an American musician, singer-songwriter, banjo player and guitarist.
Plan to come early and bring your lawn chair or favorite blanket and enjoy the evenings perfect weather for an outdoor concert. Vendors will have your favorite snack foods and soft drinks to enjoy during the concert. Remember that coolers are allowed, but no alcohol or pets in the park at any time.
