SOUTH BEND — CBS News Anchor and New York Times Bestselling Author, Jane Pauley will be the keynote speaker for the 2016 Age of Excellence Luncheon Tuesday, April 26, at the Century Center, South Bend. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with lunch and program following at 11:30 a.m.

The luncheonw ill also be the 50th REAL Services Birthday celebration.

Before joining CBS News, Pauley was a familiar face on morning, daytime and primetime television. She has written two New York Times bestsellers. “A memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue (Ballantine Books 2004)” and “Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life (Simon & Schuster 2014)” based on her award-winning series on “Today” about people 50 plus starting different careers, learning new skills, making a difference or pursuing their dreams.

The annual Age of Excellence is an annual luncheon to recognize “ordinary” people who have quietly supported loved ones and their communities through daily acts of kindness, compassion and selflessness. This has become “The luncheon event of the year” for northern Indiana.

Nominees have been received from the service area of REAL Service: Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph counties. Awards will be presented to the business of the year, caregiver of the year, volunteer of the year, professional of the year, Hoosier Lifetime Award to an individual 60 years of age or older, Agency/Program Serving Low Income of hte Year, Change Agent of the Year and the Sgt. Shriver Lifetime Achievement Award.
