DONALDSON — Join the Charge for the Ancilla College Day of Giving Friday, April 29.
Give just $24 in our 24 hours and you can help the 90 percent of Ancilla College students who receive some sort of financial assistance.
What is Join the Charge? It is a one day, 24 hour, online, social media campaign to reach new donors and get new donations on April 29. Suggested donations of $24 from each donor, but any amount is great.
Emily Hutsell, development and alumni relations manager said, “Twenty-four dollars, that’s all. If you gave $24 to Ancilla College right now, it can become so much. If you gave $24, and your friend gave $24, and another friend, and a stranger and another stranger, your $24 becomes part of a movement to change the lives of students at Ancilla College.”
What Is The goal?
In 2015, the first Day of Giving for Ancilla College had 56 donors and raised $2,723. We can do so much better than that. Our goal for the 2016 Ancilla College “Join the Charge” Day of Giving is to increase our donors to 200, with 100 of those being new donors. We can do this if we have support and can continually keep people engaged and excited about our progress. This means we need to give people a reason to keep checking on us and reading their posts that day, and rooting for Ancilla College with a donation.
Will We Stop At The goal?
If we accomplish 200 donations and 75 of those being new donors before our 24 hours is up, we will have new goals on the board. One day of giving can lead to a lifetime of change for a student, so we won’t give up.
At the two-year private college, 60 percent of student can afford to contribute less than $5,000 toward annual tuition. A $24 donation, April 29, can help the college reach its goal to serve more and do more to help students.
“Start small and make a big difference. Please Join the Charge.” Hutsell said. Leading up to the event, Hutsell will promote the program with fun tidbits at the website.
It’s easy, just go to Ancilla.edu/give and fill out the simple form April 29. Additionally, the event will be promoted online through social media using the hashtag #jointhecharge.
