National Library Week
Celebrate Libraries during National Library Week, April 10-16. The Milford community is very fortunate to have a wonderful library filled with books, movies, music and providing lots of terrific programming and services for all ages each year. We recently replaced some of our older equipment, thanks to money from a DEKKO grant. We now have five new public access computers upstairs. We also have a new copy machine and microfilm reader/printer available for use. New books and movies are added all the time in the adult, teen and children’s departments. Milford Public Library offers OverDrive so our patrons can download e-books. Freegal allows patrons to download five songs every week. If you have not visited the library lately, stop in and check us out.
High Voltage Electricity Show
It’s time for our annual Community program for all of Wawasee Community School Corporation. This year’s program is Professor Steve’s High Voltage Electricity Show. The program will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Wawasee High School Gymnasium. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., so plan to come early for a great seat. Get ready to be dazzled with awesome demonstrations of electrical power.
In this program, Professor Steve will explain the basics of electricity and amaze you with demonstrations of electrical devices like the Tesla Coil. The program is fun for the whole family. Admission is free, with limited seating. This program is sponsored by the Milford Public Library, Syracuse Pubic Library, North Webster Community Library, Wawasee High School Library, Wawasee Middle School Library, Wawasee Middle School PTO, Syracuse Elementary PTO, North Webster Elementary PTO, and Milford School PTO. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity for family fun and plan to attend.
