Library Discusses New Activities
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community Public Library’s board of trustees met Monday, April 11, to discuss new activities blooming throughout the library.
“It’s an exciting time,” said Barbara Beck, president of the board of trustees. As a part of National Library Week, the library has been filled with seven “makerspaces,” where people can gather and do anything from bookmark making to poetry and even a genealogy “makerspace,” where people can go and make their own family tree.
The library will also have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 15. The books sell for $2 for as many as can fit in the provided bag.
In other business:
- The position of children’s librarian has been filled by Katie Warrener.
- A Friends of the Library membership brochure is now available, and new members are welcome.
The next meeting will be at 4 p.m. Monday, May 9, in meeting room A/B.
